Securing Online Card-Not-Present Transactions

Card-not-present transactions are becoming a prime target by fraudsters as many consumers continue to engage in online shopping. To reduce the growing threat of fraudster attacks on card-not-present transactions, the Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) European regulation has now come into full effect on March 14, 2022. This means that merchants engaging within the European Economic Area are required to enforce stricter multi-factor authentication when consumers conduct online transactions on high-risk, high-valued items.
